Protection for the way you travel

Your windshield is more than glass.

Today’s windshields can house cameras, sensors and critical driver-assistance technology. Protecting the original glass helps protect the clear, calibrated view your vehicle was designed around.

Behind the glass

Today’s windshield can be part of the safety system.

Many newer vehicles place a forward-facing camera, rain and light sensors, and other driver-assistance components in or behind the windshield area. Those systems depend on a clear, calibrated view of the road.

Technology and placement vary by vehicle.

Today’s vehicle technology

Original glass matters.

Windshield replacement can involve more than swapping glass. Advanced driver-assistance systems may need recalibration after replacement, and a missed or ineffective recalibration can leave owners facing additional time and expense. Impact Defense helps put a protective layer between the original windshield and the everyday impacts that can start that process.

A better value conversation

Tint and protect in one exterior system.

A clear 70% ceramic windshield tint commonly costs $250–$500 depending on the vehicle and does not protect the glass. Impact Defense options can combine tinting with windshield protection, UV control and heat management in one professionally installed system. Ask an authorized installer about the right option for your vehicle and local requirements.

Who it is built for

One system. More ways to use it.

Daily drivers

Keep the original windshield clearer through the everyday road debris, weather and wiper wear that add up over time.

Pickup trucks

New trucks can represent a major investment. Exterior windshield protection adds a layer of defense without relying on interior installation around sensitive dashboard electronics.

EVs and Teslas

Curved windshields and expansive glass roofs make protection especially relevant for owners who want to help guard vulnerable glass surfaces from road damage and vandalism.

RV owners

Long highway miles, changing weather and large glass surfaces make a clear, protected view a practical part of every trip.

Private aircraft

Help protect compatible aircraft windshields and exterior glass from sun, weather, surface wear and the demands of travel.

Boats and yachts

Protect helm glass and other compatible glass surfaces from sun, spray, surface wear and the marine environment.

ATV and UTV owners

Give off-road windshields an added protective layer against dust, trail debris and changing weather.

Motorcycle owners

Help protect compatible windscreens and fairing glass from road grit, weather and everyday surface wear.

New car dealerships

Give buyers a dealer-installed protection option that helps preserve one of the most technology-intensive surfaces on their vehicle.

Beyond vehicle applications

Exterior architectural window protection.

Impact Defense also offers an exterior architectural film line for homes and buildings, including windows exposed to golf ball strikes, landscaping debris and lawnmower-thrown rocks.
